If you were allowed a do over with your life, what would you do differently from what you did earlier?
Let’s be real, all of us have something back there that we wish we had not done. We have gone some place we wish we had not gone, we something with someone we wish we had not gone and many more.
So, If you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently??
What if life were like shooting for a movie? Like while shooting if you mess up with your lines the director can say cut and you can do the scene all over again. Would you like for God every now and then to say cut that minute you dated that fool, cur that minute that you did lose that money, cut that minute that you stayed in school instead of quitting it, cut the minute when a child goes missing and in all approximately 80,000 children go missing in India every year and what not? Are there some scenes that you would like to do all over again? We wish this because all of us have taken many foolish decisions in our life. Think about where we would have been if say, we had cleared top colleges’ cutoffs, controlled our anger at critical situations, if we have not tried smoking or intoxication and not turned into addicts and many more.
But if we look closely and think we need not to have a life like a movie shooting to undo our mistakes and improve. Indeed,
“Nobody can go back to start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”
Every step in life is like a new beginning and if one learns from his past and also from the surroundings, the forthcoming step may lead to a happy ending that one has ever imagined.
Lets say you have a bad day. You go to bed in the night, introspect and recall your whole day’s actions and happenings and finally you sleep without complaining. The next morning your alarm rings up with the ringtone:
Ek kahani khatam hui to dooji shuru ho gai mamu. Subah ho gai mamu!
New beginnings are done in order to experience something new, achieve new heights and the byproduct of your dedicated karma is a happy ending.
But real life is a bit different. New beginnings and happy endings are not always directly proportional. There are *T&C apply to such an ideal situation.
This is because sometimes in order to enjoy life by trying new things, exploring ourselves by stretching our limits, we lose our inner self, self-control and focus. And we tend to forget our True North. Like being addicted to something that gives us momentarily pleasure and happiness in our journey of finding our true north seems nice but in the long run it might cost us a lot. So,
उड़ने में बुराई नहीं है, आप भी उडें |
लेकिन उतना ही, जहाँ से ज़मीन साफ़ दिखाई देती हो |
So keep flying keeping some hygiene factors intact, have a don’t give up attitude and keep following your passion i.e. Karam kiye ja and sooner or later it will be a happy ending.
Keep nourishing and cherishing the small beginnings, happy endings will follow. As it is said, large banta hai unhi choti cheezon se. “Small milate jao, large banate jao.”
Finally, the happy hours of IMT life are over. We came all the way to the Zero mile stone and finally from there only we all will be heading towards different cities for our new beginnings.
“Life is what you make it, always has been, always will be.”
Let us all disperse with this thought and continue to strive in our own lives, making it better for ourselves and for others, collectively working to make a difference.
All the best!!
